Menswear brand Kunal Anil Tanna will open its first flagship store in Mumbai’s Kala Ghoda neighbourhood on August 22. Located opposite Lion’s Gate, the exclusive brand outlet will bring the label’s selection of casual and occasion wear to the metro.
The store measures 1,100 square feet and is designed to “redefine the luxury fashion experience,” the brand announced in a press release. The store’s interior design is inspired by the concept of zen and features a natural wood floor and fabric drapes throughout the space.
“This project has been extremely close to my heart, and I was very particular about the look and feel of the store’s interiors,” said designer and brand founder Kunal Anil Tanna in a press release. “Therefore, I chose to collaborate with a close friend to personally craft the whole experience. From the muslin drapes, neutral colour palette to the mirrored walls, each and every element put together has a specific characteristic.”
Kala Ghoda is a locale known for its mixture of history and culture. Eponymous designer Kunal Anil Tanna chose the location for his first Mumbai store with the aim of creating a minimalist haven within the bustle of its surroundings. Following the opening on Thursday, shoppers will be able to browse the store’s selection of men’s tailored suits, fusion style garments, and relaxed casual wear.
