Baby care brand Popees Baby Care has launched four new brick-and-mortar stores in Kerala, including in Thrissur and Mukkam. The business also plans to launch offline in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah in the near future while continuing to bolster its India brick-and-mortar footprint.
“We are delighted to celebrate two decades of our successful journey and five years of our retail journey,” said Popees Group’s chairman and managing director Shaju Thomas in a press release. “We would like to position our company as a retailer rather than a distributor, our share of retail revenues are going to be steadily increasing during the current year and years to come.”
During the 2026 financial year, Popees Baby Care Products plans to launch 42 new offline outlets to take its store total to 118. Along with focusing on the states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana for its next round of expansion, the business also aims to open one store each in all metros and other large sized cities across the country.
“The current expansion envisaged is expected to propel us to being one of the largest national baby and childcare brands,” said Thomas. “I am obsessed with quality, and that’s at the centre of everything we do. Going forward, we will also add more SKUs like footwears, high value toys like remote cars etc to explore their immense potential.”
Internationally, Popees Baby Care Products will launch a store in the Sharjah mall ‘Sahara Centre’ and in Dalma Mall in Abu Dhabi. The business aims to tap into the large number of Indians in the areas as well as local shoppers.
The brand’s products range from personal care goods such as baby oil, baby wipes, shampoos, lotions, body washes, and soap to towels, fabric wash, and toys among others. Popees Baby Care Products was launched by entrepreneur Shaju Thomas in 2003 and its three plants currently employ more than 2,000 people and have the capacity to produce approximately five lakh garments each month.
