Footwear business Metro Brands Limited has opened its 800th brick-and-mortar store in India for comfort driven footwear brand FitFlop in Hyderabad and plans to open an additional 200 stores by the 2025 financial year.
Metro Brands Limited saw its shares increase in value by 1.87% after the news broke that it had opened its 800thstore, The Hindu Businessline reported. The new FitFlop store is located in Hyderabad’s busy shopping district Banjara Hills measures 716 square feet. The store houses the label’s full range of men’s and women’s footwear featuring soles which prioritise comfort and foot health.

Metro Brands Limited runs numerous footwear brands including Metro Footwear and Mochi and retails international brands including FitFlop and Fila in the Indian market. The business is also expanding its e-commerce operations to pursue an omni-channel growth strategy and reach shoppers across India.
