Indian SaaS platform Unicommerce is broadening its international operations ahead of its planned initial public offering. The business is working on adding more international business clients from countries including Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
“After building a solid foundation in the country, international markets are a growth area for us now and we will now be expanding our operation in these overseas markets,” Unicommerce’s chief executive and managing director Kapil Makhija told the Press Trust of India. “The domestic e-commerce market is ahead of most other markets in the region allowing us to offer future-ready solutions for our overseas clients.”
The business currently has an international client base of 46 businesses based across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Singapore. These include Philippines-based children’s wear brand Edamama and UAE-based clothing brand Redtag among others.
Unicommerce’s India-based clients include ethnic wear brand FabIndia, eyewear brand Lenskart, personal care brand Mamaearth, makeup brand Sugar, and wearables brand Boat among others. The business offers clients omni-channel retail management, seller management, and other e-commerce enablement solutions.
Unicommerce is planning to launch its initial public offering in the near future, ET Bureau reported. The business filed its draft red herring prospectus in January 2024. Launched in Delhi in 2012, Unicommerce has reported positive profits after tax since the 2021 financial year.
