Tata Group business Titan’s jewellery brand Tanishq is expanding its brick-and-mortar footprint across India and will open nine new stores in Gujarat by the end of the 2024 financial year to take its state store total to 28.
“We currently have 19 Tanishq jewellery stores in Gujarat,” said Titan Company Limited’s managing director C K Venkataraman, the Press Trust of India reported. “By the end of the financial year 2023-24 in March, we will add nine more stores in different cities of the state and take the tally to 28.”
The brand also recently re-launched its store in the Shivranjani area of Ahmedabad with a refreshed design. Upcoming Tanishq stores will be located in cities including Ahmedabad, Surat, Bhuj, Ghandinagar, and Valsad as well as the Saurashtra region.
The business has its sights set beyond just India for its brick-and-mortar expansion. In terms of international openings, Tanishq plans to launch new stores in the UK, US, Canada, Singapore, Australia, and a number of Gulf countries in the near future, ET Bureau reported.
The brand has witnessed increasing demand overseas, especially from non-resident Indians abroad. Tanishq’s international stores retail the same designs as its India stores and the brand has seen strong NRI demand for traditional designs, according to Venkataraman.
