The Ayurveda Experience raises $27 million from Jungle Venture, others

The Ayurveda Experience (TAE), a direct-to-consumer brand has raised $27 million (Rs 223 crore) in its series C funding round led by Singapore-based venture capital (VC) firm Jungle Ventures.

SIDBI Ventures, Anicut Capital and Sharrp Ventures also participated in the funding round.

The company plans to utilise the funds to strengthen its presence in existing markets, scaling customer engagement on its platform along with product development and expansion of distribution network.

Commenting on the funding, Rishab Chopra, founder CEO of TAE in a statement said, “These funds will be deployed to further fortify the group’s R&D, supply chain and manufacturing strength, explore and scale newer avenues for distribution.”

Arpit Beri, partner at Jungle Ventures added, “We’re delighted to partner with Rishabh and the team at The Ayurveda Experience. At Jungle, we remain deeply committed to backing founders building brands deeply loved by the customers, and TAE fits very well into this.”

Founded in 2010 by Rishab Chopra, TAE manufactures and sells beauty products such as hair oils, moisturisers, lotions, creams, and scrubs. The brand claims that more than 97 percent of its sales come directly from its app and website.
