Natural diamond crafting and exports business Shree Ramkrishna Exports Private Limited plans to achieve net zero emissions for its two diamond crafting facilities, SRK Empire and SRK House. The business aims to achieve this by 2024 as part of its commitment to sustainable business practices.

“As a purpose driven company, we believe our commitment to quality and to society and the environment are of the utmost importance,” said Shree Ramkrishna Exports’ founder and chairman Govind Dholakia, the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council reported on its website. 
 
The business aims to reach net zero emissions six years prior to the Indian government’s goal of achieving sustainable development by 2030. Shree Ramkrishna Exports plans to achieve this goal in partnership with The Global Network for Zero. The international organisation works to accelerate the transition towards a zero emissions economy across the world. 

Shree Ramkrishna Exports has undertaken a wide range of sustainable initiatives including constructing an off-site solar power plant, a sewage treatment plant for water recycling, and a waste treatment facility. The business has won awards for its sustainable practices by organisations including the Hurun Report and its diamond crafting facility in Surat is LEED Platinum-certified to denote its highly sustainable operating practices.
