Shoppers Stop expands Andhra Pradesh footprint with first store in Guntur

Shoppers Stop has opened a new 20,350 square foot store in Guntur. Located in the city’s Phoenix Padmavathi Mall, the department store adds to Shoppers Stop’s retail presence in Andhra Pradesh.

The new Shoppers Stop store opened its doors in Guntur with a ribbon cutting ceremony and traditional dance performance, Guntur Capital announced on Facebook. The new store features a wide range of product categories including clothing for men, women, and children, jewellery, cosmetics, accessories, and lifestyle goods among others.
 
“We are absolutely thrilled to venture into the enchanting city of Guntur and bring Shoppers Stop’s extraordinary shopping experience to the city,” said Shoppers Stop Limited’s chief executive officer Venu Nair, India Retailing reported. “The opening of the Guntur store is yet another key step towards our goal of focusing particularly on Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.”

Brands present in the new store include Vero Moda, Neerus, W, Rare Rabbit, Titan, Fossil, Armani Exchange, Maybelline, Fratini, Sugar, Amanté, Incense, Kashish, and Arcelia among others. The store brings a broad range of Indian and international brands to Guntur to cater to the increasing demand for branded fashion and lifestyle goods in non-metro locations. 

Property development business K Raheja Corp launched Shoppers Stop in 1991. The business opened its first ever store in Mumbai and today counts 99 department stores in 53 cities along with 142 specialty beauty stores, eight home concept stores, and 25 airport retail outlets.
