Luxury clothing brand Satya Paul has opened a new flagship store inside DLF Emporio mall in New Delhi. The conceptual space showcases the brand’s designs in a new, abstract way and bolsters the label’s brick-and-mortar presence in the capital.
The store is designed, “to be both experimental and nurturing,” said Satya Paul’s creative director Rajesh Pratap Singh in a press release. The soft hued interior of the store features no hard edges for a soft yet modern aesthetic. The space is designed to resemble a literal egg and provide a cocoon for shoppers to feel safe and held in.
“Through the store, visitors encounter fragmented circles that encourage them to keep going,” announced the brand in a press release. “The final, complete circle is only encountered at the end, raising the philosophical question of whether the end is the beginning, or the beginning is the end?”
The monochrome interior of the store is contrasted with Satya Paul’s bright, printed clothing, displayed on the rails within. The store opened its doors with its recent ‘Delhi-Kyoto Non Stop’ and ‘Acid Flowers’ collections which play with clashing patterns, draped silhouettes, and sportswear touches.
The Satya Paul brand launched 1985 and swiftly became known for its fresh approach to the saree. The brand describes itself as “forward-looking, optimistic and progressive”.
