Sportswear brand Reebok plans to open around 100 stores a year in India for the coming three years with Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited. The label is also eyeing becoming a Rs 1,000 crore business in the country.
“ABFRL is very bullish on the Reebok brand,” an anonymous source close to the development told India Retailing. “In the coming years, they plan to open about 100 stores each year for the next three years.”
By the 2027 financial year, Reebok would have around 500 stores or just under in India which would give it a strong brick-and-mortar presence across the country. Reebok is known for its crossfit and running apparel and sneakers and also retails accessories and athleisure for men, women, and children.
Reebok currently counts approximately 170 brick-and-mortar stores in India in locations including Nagpur, New Delhi, and Bengaluru among others. The brand’s ambassadors for India include Bollywood actress Taapse Pannu and cricket player Surya Kumar Yadav, and Reebok has run numerous campaigns exclusively for the Indian market.
Reebok originally launched in the Indian market with its previous owner Adidas in 2006. Reebok was then acquired by Authentic Brand Group in 2021, after which Aditya Birla Fashion bought the rights to retail the brand in India.
