E-commerce giant Flipkart’s fashion arm Myntra welcomed a total of 75 million new users over the past 12 months, according to its ‘Myntra Trend Index’ for the 2024 financial year. Out of its new users, 65% hail from non-metro locations showing how the e-tailer is increasingly penetrating Bharat.
“Myntra Trend Index throws light on some of the most noteworthy consumer trends across fashion, beauty, personal care, and lifestyle segments in India,” said Myntra’s chief business officer Sharon Pais, India Retailing reported. “The findings of the report strongly suggest that the country is on the journey of premiumisation and there is a marked rise in adoption of trends across cohorts.”
Myntra’s total monthly active users peaked at 60 million during the 2024 financial year. The business has also seen a trend for repeat customers as six million shoppers visited Myntra’s website 30 times each month on average.
“When it comes to fashion, the country has become experimental in its choices while also adopting self-care and personal grooming in a big way,” said Pais. “These trends mirror India’s lifestyle choices and underscore our role as an enabler to make the latest from the world of fashion and beauty available to millions of our customers, on the back of cutting-edge technology and differentiated service.”
