Casey Cadwallader had been dreaming about it for six years, and the dream has now become reality. The first footwear collection designed for Mugler by its creative director is available in-store. Of course, Cadwallader had previously designed shoes for the runway shows staged by the luxury Parisian label owned by L’Oréal, and had also collaborated with Jimmy Choo for a capsule collection for Spring/Summer 2022. But Cadwallader has now designed a fully fledged line, a project that signals Mugler’s grand entrance into footwear.

The Mugler mules are also available in denim – Mugler

The Mugler footwear collection features mules, pumps, booties, boots and sandals, and is distinctive for its sharp, spiky lines. Cadwallader, Mugler’s creative director since 2017, has reinterpreted and revamped the label’s codes, inspired especially by its signature corsets. The resulting models are highly original, sensual and ultra-sexy, sporting vertiginous chrome stiletto heels available in two lengths, 95mm and 55mm.

The shoes’ custom-designed heel is called ‘fang heel’, and has given its name to the collection. It is slightly curved, angular and flared, allowing for greater stability while lending the shoes a futuristic feel. All the models end with a tapered tip that adds length to the shoes’ shape.

The collection includes metallic-tip sandals fastened with thin leather straps, boots made in black knitted fabric, and mules available in washed denim, in a semi-sheer resin-like fabric akin to tulle, and in leather.

The Fang heel is set to become the distinguishing feature of Mugler shoes – Mugler

This first footwear collection faithfully reflects the Mugler style and the vision developed by Cadwallader over the course of the seasons, while laying a foundation that will enable the label to expand in this segment.

Mugler’s Fang Heel collection is made in Italy, and its models are priced between €590 and €1,430. They are available on the Mugler e-shop and at specialist retailers worldwide.
