Menswear brand Kartik Research has opened a flagship store in New Delhi at Greater Kailash II. Named ‘Research Research’, the store is designed to encourage community and exploration and reaffirms the label’s commitment to India as it also expands its international distribution.
The store focuses on Kartik Research’s in-house line which expands on its jersey offering, Vogue India reported. The product selection targets the brand’s India-based Gen Z and millennial customers which is also reflected in the aesthetic influences in the store’s interior, celebrating New Delhi’s historic architecture in the 1,400 square foot space.
“The store is intentionally not as refined or craft-focused as the main line but serves as a concept laboratory,” said Kartik Research’s founder and designer Kartik Kumra, Vogue India reported. “Having a physical store allows us to define the narrative and create avenues for global expansion.”
Research Research’s yellow floor and repurposed woodwork adds a vintage air to the store. Kumra plans to expand this idea and add a selection of vintage clothing sourced from the US and Singapore. The outlet is also set to retail a multi-brand selection of up and coming labels such as Margn and Sage Nation.
Along with opening its India store, Kartik Research is also continuing to widen its global distribution. The label’s Spring/ Summer 2024 collection has launched at the Tons Pittsburgh boutique in the US, Edifice in Japan, and Stepney Workers Club in the UK, each boutique announced on their respective Facebook pages.
