Kalki opens first flagship store in Ahmedabad with Malaika Arora

On July 24, luxury women’s occasion wear brand Kalki opened its first flagship store in Gujarat. The store is located on Ahmedabad’s Sarkhej-Gandhinagar Highway and was inaugurated by Bollywood celebrity Malaika Arora.

Kalki’s first address in Ahmedabad opened with a wide selection of its bridal wear, traditional wear, and indo-western collections, the brand announced in a press release on July 25. For the store launch, Arora wore a dramatic blue toned lehenga with a fully beaded, bralet style top and similarly ornate skirt. 
 
“As we embark on this exciting journey in Ahmedabad, our new flagship store stands not only as a testament to our dedication and passion but also as our commitment to making luxury fashion accessible in this beautiful city,” said Kalki’s director Nishit Gupta in a press release. 

The store launched with the hashtag ‘KalkiAhmedabadMa’ and an array of floral decorations. The store’s interior is designed in muted green tones and features golden hued rails to display Kalki’s designs. 
 
Inspired by the locally found ‘Nimoda’ tree, the store features a central tree motif. Kalki launched in Mumbai in 2007 and has an opulent, feminine aesthetic, influenced by Indian heirloom designs and crafts.
