Justin Timberlake has been arrested for “driving while intoxicated”.
The ‘SexyBack’ singer had been in Long Island, New York, according to the Associated Press.
A law enforcement official said Timberlake, 43 and who is often referred to as the “Prince of Pop”, was expected to be arraigned later Tuesday in Sag Harbor, on the eastern end of Long Island.
The official could not publicly discuss details of the ongoing investigation and spoke to AP on condition of anonymity.
Timberlake’s representatives did not immediately return requests for comment.
According to a source quoted by the MailOnline, Timberlake had been out for dinner with friends and had left the restaurant just after midnight when he was pulled over by police.
