The India Designer Show Gen-X runway event showcased collections by a number of up-and-coming designers at Roseate House in New Delhi’s Aerocity. The lively fashion show was designed to give young creatives a platform from which to launch their careers.
“We are incredibly excited to unveil IDS Gen-X 2023 and showcase the extraordinary talent of the next generation of Indian designers,” said IDS’s founder and organiser Ronit Aggarwal in a press release on June 6. “This edition of IDS will serve as a platform for these young designers to express their creativity, push boundaries, and make their mark in the industry. We believe that the future of Indian fashion is bright, and IDS Gen-X 2023 will be the catalyst for their success.”
The event saw actors Anupriya Goenka, Stefy Patel, and Dinesh Mohan walk the runway as showstoppers wearing a variety of occasion wear looks. The International Institute of Fashion Design’s Gurgaon and West Delhi branches also presented a range of student designs on the runway to give a platform to the designers of the future. Other participating designers included T Pooja Chakrabani, Rosy Ahluwalia, Bharti Mittal, and Sanjay Mittal.
“We are thrilled to introduce Gen-X 2023, a celebration of fashion’s boundless creativity and the visionary talent of the next generation,” said IDS’s co-founder Bibin Babu. “This year’s show promises to be a mesmerising fusion of tradition and innovation, where culture meets couture. We are setting the stage for a kaleidoscope of styles that will leave a lasting impression on the world of fashion.”
