Homegrown outdoor apparel and accessories brand Gokyo has launched its maiden store in the city of Mumbai in Malad.
Gokyo’s product range includes trekking pants, t-shirts, hiking shirts, jackets, base layers, cargoes, and accessories such as trekking poles, shoes, sleeping bags, backpacks, caps, crampons, and headlamps.
The brand plans to expand its retail presence through the franchise model and partnerships with outdoor apparel outlets across the country.
Gokyo which started retailing through its website and Instagram a year-ago claims to have received strong traction from customers across the country.
Since then, the brand has launched on Amazon and plans to further solidify its online presence through multi-brand e-commerce marketplaces.
Commenting on the brand, Venkatesh Maheshwari, founder of Gokyo in a statement said, “Gokyo is more than a brand; it’s the realization of a dream born from our love for the Himalayas and a commitment to provide premium outdoor clothing for like-minded Indians.”
“Inspired by Gokyo Ri, a peak nestled in the Everest region and the adjacent lake near a Sherpa community village, our brand is a fusion of international style & performance fabrics to meet the rugged demands of outdoor adventures,” he added.
Venkatesh Maheshwari aka Venki is a seasoned trekker and mountaineer with over three decades of expertise in the apparel industry.
