Freedom Tree opens new store in Thane

Homeware, textiles, and accessories store Freedom Tree has opened its first brick-and-mortar store in Thane in the up-and-coming Wagle Estate area. The store is the brand’s seventh concept store in India to date. 

“The mixed-use neighbourhood that our Thane store is located in invites a variety of visitors,” said Freedom Tree’s founder Latika Khosla in a press release on August 10. “Architects, interior designers and other professionals come by during the week, and families and home-makers from the nearby developments over the weekend. Delight in the architectural touches, the exposed brickwork, metal shelving, bare ceilings, and the custom-built mezzanine loft with bedroom set-ups. Meet our design advisors to craft your own look and home decor journey, at this latest outpost of the Happiest Home Store.”
 
Freedom Tree’s new Thane store is designed to enable the city’s residents to browse its products in person to experience their true look and feel. The store’s interior is an eclectic mix of natural wood and printed textile curtains while the walls are painted a crisp white to highlight the brand’s colourful products. 

The brand is inspired by the industrial heart of Mumbai where it is based and aims to create products which reference Indian design heritage while having a sleek, modern look. Products available in the new store include home fragrances, textiles, lighting, furniture, and floor and wall coverings among others.
