Famous successes that were adopted

Must read

Adoption is more common than many people realize. While many parents want to have their own biological child many parents either can’t or choose not to. Adoption is a viable way to have a child if you are not biologically able to have one and even for those that are adoption is often a great option to rescue a child from a difficult situation. That makes adoption a beautiful thing. Yet we often don’t hear about adopted children. Some parents don’t even tell their children they were adopted. Yet adoption is something that should be celebrated. In the world of famous people, there are many that were actually adopted. Let’s take a look at some of the most well-known stars who were adopted.

Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs was adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs as they could not have kids themselves. Jobs has always been proud of his adopted parents and during his life did find that he had a biological sister to who he remained close. This brings up the question of nature vs nurture. Would Steve Jobs have changed the world if he had been adopted by a different family? Were his biological parents and therefore his DNA the key to his success, or was it the upbringing by his adopted parents? Likely a combination of both. In any case, Steve Jobs and the world were lucky that Paul and Clara decided to adopt.

Nicole Richie

It was this belief that led him to believe in himself and do great things. Foxx shows that adopted relatives are not lesser because they are not blood-related they are actually more because they chose to take care of you.

Eric Clapton

Eric Clapton was not legally adopted but he was raised by his grandparents after his parent split up. His biological mother gave birth to him at a young age and was unable to cope so the grandparents stepped in. Clapton did not even know they were not his real parents until much later in life.
