BSL Limited, a leading textile firm reported a net profit Rs 2.5 crore ($2,95,849) for the second quarter ended September 30, 2024.
The company’s revenue for the quarter grew marginally to Rs 179 crore, as against Rs 178 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.
Commenting on the results, Nivedan Churiwal, managing director of BSL Ltd in a statement said, “We are delighted to deliver strong financial results in Q2 FY25, with operating revenue reaching Rs 178 crore. For the quarter, net profit was Rs 2.5 crore, reflecting a 9.3% increase from the previous quarter. The half-year FY25 revenue also climbed to Rs 341.8 crore with net profit of Rs 4.8 crore demonstrating strong demand in the market and sound operational execution.”
“We have successfully maintained our growth trajectory by expanding into new markets and strengthening connections with our current customer base, creating a strong foundation for further growth. We have a positive outlook for the upcoming quarter, anticipating improved performance in the domestic and international textile sector,” he added.
BSL Limited runs a vertically integrated unit which integrates spinning, weaving, processing, and manufacturing capabilities. Apart from ‘BSL’, the company also sells premium fabrics under the ‘Geoffrey Hammonds’ brand.
