Fine jewellery brand Bhima Jewellers plans to open between 10 and 12 stores in 2024 and annually thereafter. The brand also plans to increase its e-commerce sales to reach new customer bases.
“We expect to launch approximately 10 to 12 stores every year at a broad level,” Bhima Jewellers’ chief operating officer Gopa Kumar told IndianRetailing in an interview. “Our strategic objectives include achieving a leadership position in all the markets we’ve entered and to have substantial growth in our online sales to secure a significant market share. Simultaneously, we aim to consolidate our longstanding presence in existing markets, leveraging decades of experience.”
In India, Bhima Jewellers counts over 60 stores spread across Kerala, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka. The brand also retails from four stores in the UAE, according to its Facebook page.
For its current brick-and-mortar expansion, Bhima Jewellers is focusing on building up its presence in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana where it has opened five stores over the past 14 to 15 months. Along with opening new stores, the brand also plans to ameliorate the services on offer in its existing stores such as launching personalised shopper assistance and offering by-appointment shopping, India Retailing reported.
Bhima Jewellers launched in 1925 and operates in India and the UAE, according to its Facebook page. The brand specialises in traditional India jewellery in gold, diamonds, platinum, and silver.
