Barcelona’s new exclusive brand outlet in Patna brings its store total in the city to six. The menswear brand continues to build up its brick-and-mortar retail presence in Bihar, among which it has found one of its strongest customer bases.
“One more step closer to building a Fashion Empire in Bihar,” announced Barcelona on Facebook. “As part of its ambitious expansion strategy in India, Barcelona opened its sixth store in Patna, Bihar.”
This year, Barcelona has opened a significant number of exclusive brand outlets as part of its plan to expand its customer base across India. The brand focuses on non-metro locations for its store openings to cater to Tier 2 and 3 shoppers in line with the growing rural demand for branded western wear.
In August, Barcelona made its retail debut in Uttar Pradesh’s Hamirpur and opened its first store in Goa in June. The brand has also recently opened stores in cities including Pune, Visnagar, Mahoba, Kota, and Dapoli among others.
Entrepreneur Jaimin Gupta launched Barcelona in 2015 in Ahmedabad. The brand specialises in men’s western wear including denim and polo shirts as well as semi formal wear and accessories and plans to expand its product categories as the business grows. Barcelona plans to launch an initial public offering in the near future, although a date has yet to be set.
