British luxury apparel and accessories brand Paul Smith held a collection launch event at its exclusive brand outlet in Mumbai’s Jio World Drive to bring together the city’s fashion enthusiasts. The event unveiled ‘Modern Dandy’ as an eclectic take on classic British style.
“Paul Smith’s SS24 collection launch event at Jio World Drive was a mesmerising blend of tradition and innovation,” announced Reliance Brands Limited on Facebook. “The SS24 collection explores the concept of the ‘Modern Dandy,’ incorporating silhouettes from traditional tailoring, military uniforms and pyjamas. Amidst the chic ambiance of the boutique, guests and friends of the house discovered the collection over bubbly champagne and delectable canapés.”
Paul Smith launched in the Indian market in 2008 by opening stores in Bengaluru and New Delhi, Fibre2Fashion reported. Today, the brand retails in the country through a mix of exclusive brand outlets and multi-brand e-commerce platforms including Ajio Luxe and Tata Cliq Luxury among others.
Born in 1946, the eponymous designer Paul Smith opened his first store in Nottingham, UK in 1970. The brand began as a menswear label and later expanded into womenswear and children’s wear, as well as launching a toiletries and an accessories line.
