Fashion and lifestyle brand FabIndia collaborated with the Indian Navy as its official lifestyle partner for its ‘G20 Thinq’ quiz. The event’s finals took place on November 23 and saw participants from 24 countries wear FabIndia jackets made from TussarGicha wild silk.
The international finals of G20 Thinq took place in New Delhi and FabIndia also provided the participants with white silk blended kurtas made with regenerated cellulose fabric, white churidars (tapered pants) and handmade leather jutties, the brand announced in a press release. The collaboration enabled FabIndia to showcase Indian textile craftsmanship to an international audience.
“G20 Thinq was an engaging and intellectually stimulating quiz, and Fabindia is honoured to be a part of this event,”announced the brand in a press release. “The partnership reflected the brand’s ongoing commitment to fostering a deep appreciation for India’s rich cultural heritage and its contribution towards global knowledge. Fabindia would sincerely like to thank The Indian Navy and NWWA president, Mrs Kala Hari Kumar, for giving us this opportunity to contribute towards making Thinq a successful event.”
FabIndia was established in 1960 and opened its first brick-and-mortar store in New Delhi. The business aims to mix India’s rich craft heritage with the needs of the modern consumer and currently counts over 357 stores spread across 127 Indian cities as well as 13 international outlets spread across seven countries.
