Flipkart launches wholesale shopping festival

E-commerce giant Flipkart’s digital business-to-business platform Flipkart Wholesale has launched a ‘Diwali Shopotsav’. The sale event offers festive deals to its business customers across its 26 brick-and-mortar stores and through its shopping app.

The sale event kicked off on October 25 and runs until November 12 with the tagline, “Bolo Fayde Ki Boli”. The sale spans numerous product categories with a strong focus on gifting products and festive décor, Indian Retailer Bureau reported. 
 
The sale event features daily flash deals for Flipkart’s business customers with some items reduced to just Rs 1. The event also includes a ‘lucky draw’ where kirana store owners have the chance to win prizes including mobile phones and gold and silver coins. 

Flipkart recently ran a ‘Big Billion Days Sale’ on its business to customer e-commerce platform which offered double digit discounts across a wide range of fashion and lifestyle products. The sale event boosted seller revenue and its parent company’s Walmart Vriddhi Supplier Development Program reported a 70% year-on-year increase in sales through the promotions, the Financial Express reported. The program is designed to empower sellers by sharing knowledge on how to grow businesses online. 
 
Flipkart Wholesale mainly caters to kirana stores and micro, small, and medium enterprises. The business leverages the technology and supply chain infrastructure of Flipkart Group to provide small stores with inventory.
