Homes textiles major Welspun Living Ltd reported a 31 percent decline in consolidated net profit to Rs 123 crore ($14.2 million) for the third quarter ended December 2024, as against Rs 179 crore in the year ago quarter.
The company’s revenue for the quarter stood at Rs 2,490 crore, as against Rs 2,411 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.
Welspun’s total expenses in the third quarter stood at Rs 2,369 crore as compared to Rs 2.214 crore in the same period a year ago.
Commenting on the results, B K Goenka, chairman of Welspun Group in a statement said, “Welspun Living remains committed to redefining home solutions sustainably while establishing itself as the ‘FMCG of Textiles.’ In Q3FY25, we achieved 3 percent consolidated revenue growth, with home textile exports up 6 percent.”
“Our key growth pillars like global brands, domestic consumer, advanced textiles, and flooring grew 10% in 9MFY25, providing a competitive edge. The domestic consumer business saw 2% YoY growth amidst inflation and cautious spending, while the ‘Welspun’ brand grew 8%, reinforcing its leadership in home textiles,” he added.
Welspun Living, a part of the Welspun Group is amongst the largest home textile manufacturers in the world with a strong presence in bed, bath & flooring segment.
