Clothing brand United Colors of Benetton has expanded its children’s wear offering in India by launching its newborn clothing line in the country. The 100% cotton line has gone live on United Colors of Benetton’s India e-commerce store and in select brick-and-mortar outlets across the country.
“In celebration of the unique journey shared between parents and their newborns, Benetton is gearing up to embrace the little ones, with their carefully curated newborn collection catering to babies aged 0-18 months,” announced the brand in a press release on July 17. “Benetton’s Newborn Apparel Collection promises to be a delightful addition to this beautiful universe of love and care.”
The newborn clothing line is made from textiles which have been thoroughly processed and tested for infant safety. Featuring a peached finish for softness, garments in the collection have been chosen for their neutral PH values and also feature nickel-free snap buttons are used to avoid rust, according to the brand.
United Colors of Benetton’s newborn line has a new icon of a bunny, designed specifically for the product line. The artwork is designed to captivate and entertain babies, according to the brand.
Releasing the line in India highlights the growing demand for branded and safety-focused baby wear in India. The collection also plays into the growing demand for more sustainable fashion as all garments in the newborn line have been produced in sustainable factories.
