Menswear brand Turtle has reopened its flagship store in Kolkata to offer expanded features and a more interactive shopping experience. The store now has the capacity to host events to enable the brand to connect with shoppers across West Bengal.
“I am thrilled to announce the updated new look of our flagship store at Sodepur, Kolkata,” wrote Turtle Limited’s director Shitanshu Jhunjhunwala on Linkedin. “Located in the heart of Sodepur, it’s not just a store; it’s a lifestyle destination.”
The flagship store will play host to brand collaborations with designers, artists, and influencers to foster a creative community, India Retailing reported. The store will also hold events and workshops to teach new skills and drive footfall. The store reopened its doors with Turtle’s autumn collection of smart casual shirts and classic separates.
Turtle was established as a business in 1993 and began its factory operations in 1994. The business opened its first exclusive brand outlet in 2005 in Kolkata and has continued to expand its brick-and-mortar presence in India ever since.
Turtle brings its collections to life at its design studio in Milan, Italy, which it opened in 2006. The brand has a simple, smart casual aesthetic and aims to cater to a range of age groups and demographics.
