Tiger Woods and Justin Timberlake have unveiled plans to open an upscale sports bar in St Andrews.
The golf legend and pop superstar hope to transform the historic New Picture House Cinema into a premium sports and entertainment gastro pub.
Woods and Timberlake are shareholders in Nexus Luxury Collection, the global estate agency behind the plans.
The venue – near to the famous Old Course – is expected to have “elevated cuisine”, craft cocktails, golf simulators, duckpin bowling and darts.
Sporting events will be screened throughout the bar, and if the plans are approved by Fife Council, one cinema screen will be retained for theatrical releases.
The pub will be named T-Squared Social – a homage to the Ts in Tiger and Timberlake – after a similar venue with the same name opened in New York last month.
The pair came up with the idea during a round of golf in the Bahamas.
Woods said: “Justin and I thought it would be cool to create a place that combines our favourite things and brings people together to just have a great time.
“We always knew we wanted to do something together, and Nexus gave us the platform to bring our idea to life in New York City and now St Andrews.”
Woods said he had been “fortunate enough” to enjoy “many special moments” in St Andrews.
He added: “We all wanted to bring our T-Squared Social concept to St Andrews to add to the local community and be a welcoming place for those living in St Andrews and for visitors alike.”

Timberlake, who rose to fame in boyband NSYNC in the 1990s, said he was “honoured” to invest in the seaside town.
He added: “I’ve come to St Andrews many times to play golf including to compete in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
“Our new venue is so much more than a typical sports bar experience – it’s a place you can go to be entertained without sacrificing quality or comfort.”
Personal touches from Woods and Timberlake will permeate the space, including large glossy photographs of Woods on the golf course and Timberlake in concert adorning the walls; customised golf bags inscribed with their names; and a selection of branded-merchandise and coasters etched with their signatures.

The New Picture House first opened in St Andrews in 1930.
Managing director David Morris said it has been an integral part of the town’s entertainment.
He said: “The New Picture House will continue to operate as usual until further notice.
“The directors look forward to supporting T-Squared Social with their development plans and to welcoming new and existing customers into the New Picture House on completion of the redevelopment works.”
It is expected the venue will open in 2024 subject to planning approval.
