Personal care and beauty brand The Body Shop has joined the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) to expand its presence in the Indian market.
With this partnership, the brand will showcase its catalogue to consumers across a rapidly expanding network on ONDC.
Commenting on the partnership, Vishal Chaturvedi, vice president of retail operations at The Body Shop in a statement said, “We are thrilled to be one of the first international beauty and skincare brands in India to join the ONDC Network. With ONDC Network, we can widen our reach, be easily accessible to consumers across the country, and provide them with a simply great experience at affordable prices.”
T Koshy, managing director CEO of ONDC added, “As the ONDC Network charts its course towards creating a transparent e-commerce ecosystem that champions equal opportunities for all, we are elated to have The Body Shop join the network.”
The Body Shop India entered the Indian market with Gurgaon-based Quest Retail 17 years ago. Today, the brand counts around 200 stores in 75 Indian cities and has expanded into other South Asian nations including Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.
