Tasva opens first store in Kolkata

Men’s traditional and occasion wear brand Tasva has launched offline in Kolkata. The label’s new exclusive brand outlet is located in the city’s Woodburn Park on Elgin Road by its new neighbour H&M. 

“Kemon acho Kolkata,” announced Tasva’s head of retail operations Varun Sharma on Linkedin. “Excited to announce our new Tasva | Aditya Birla Group x Tarun Tahiliani store in Kolkata, located at Elgin Road. Kolkata, come discover our exceptional service and exquisite designs.”
 
The store is located on the ground floor of the building and has an expansive double façade and a sizeable digital screen from the floor to ceiling of one panel. Inside the outlet, shoppers can browse a wide selection of ready to wear including Sherwanis, kurtas, separates and accessories including jewellery, headwear, and footwear among others.  
 
The interior mixes a cream hue with gold and light, natural wood accents. Both the store’s décor and products are designed to reimagine traditional Indian aesthetics for the modern Indian man. 
 
Tasva was established in December 2021 as a partnership between couturier and eponymous designer Tarun Tahiliani and Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited, according to the brand’s website. Tasva opened its first brick-and-mortar store in Bengaluru and today retails from its over 60 stores across the country, its direct to customer e-commerce store, and multi-brand platforms including Myntra.
