Tanishq opens exclusive brand outlet in Chicago, US

Fine jewellery brand Tanishq has opened a new exclusive brand outlet in Chicago to bolster its brick-and-mortar presence in the US. The new store retails an array of traditional Indian bridal and occasion style jewellery. 

The new Tanishq store has opened in Aurora, a city in the Chicago metropolitan area, on New York Street, the brand announced in a press release. With a dedicated segment for wedding jewellery, the store has opened in time for the US’s spring wedding season. Shoppers can browse gold, diamond, and precious gemstone jewellery made by Tanishq’s artisans in India. 
 
“Tanishq’s arrival in the vibrant tapestry of Chicago, home to one of the nation’s largest Indian populations, marks a significant milestone in bridging cultures and celebrating heritage,” announced the brand in a press release. “Although the brand has been available on e-commerce in the US for nearly two years, Tanishq looks forward to bringing forth an exquisite array of jewellery products, including their one-of-a-kind collections, Dharohar and Tales of Mystique.”

Tanishq opened a store in the suburbs of Chicago in August 2008 to cater to the city’s shoppers. Located in Woodfield Mall, Tanishq chose the location due to its high tourist rates and established desi community. However, the store later closed, according to Yelp.
