Multi-brand sneaker and street wear retailer Superkicks has launched ‘Superkicks Cosign’ as a launchpad for young musicians. The initiative is designed to bring together the fashion and music industries and give a platform to up-and-coming artists.
“Apart from the brand’s impeccable design ethos, music is one of the brand’s many pillars,” announced the brand in a press release. “Cosign is an attempt to amplify the stature of new artists, followed by arranging for listening sessions with a handpicked audience, including professionals in the music industry, and other relevant personalities.”
The business first introduces artists through a reel on its Instagram page before holding an in-store event. Superkicks has already teamed up with artists Gandhar and The Siege and plans to uplift young talent from across the country.
“To take the experience a notch higher the brand is also planning on expanding the streetwear culture intertwined with the art of music with some bigger projects in the near future,” announced the brand. “Also, in the near future, Superkicks hopes to work on an exclusive music project of their own.”
Sangeet Paryani and Nisha Lulla launched Superkicks in 2018 to celebrate sneaker culture in India. The business currently has four stores in Guwahati, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and New Delhi and also retails from its direct to customer e-commerce store.
