Singapore-headquartered fashion and lifestyle brand Styched has acquired sports and performance wear brand Zymrat. The cash and equity swap deal will see Styched guide Zymrat to expand its product offerings.
“Zymrat has created a brand known for quality and innovation, aligning perfectly with Styched’s vision to democratise fashion globally,” said Styched’s CEO Soumajit, ET Retail reported. “Our decision to join forces was swift, driven by the strong synergies we discovered between our teams and our shared goals.”
As well as broadening Zymrat’s product line, Styched plans to use its production-on-demand technology to make the brand’s products more affordable to enable it to reach a wider audience. Both businesses will share ideas to innovate new solutions and focus on international expansion.
“We eagerly anticipate working closely together to take Zymrat to a global audience and continue towards our larger vision, which is to redefine athletic wear for athletes around the world,” said Zymrat’s co-founder Ujjawal Asthana, the Economic Times reported.
Zymrat launched in 2018 and opened its first brick-and-mortar store in July 2022 in Bengaluru’s Garuda Mall, FashionNetwork.com reported at the time. The brand plans to continue to expand its brick-and-mortar presence in India.
“Our goal is to expand Zymrat’s product offerings across various categories and price points for both men and women, delivering the very best in performance wear and athletic fashion to a diverse global clientele,” said Zymrat’s co-founder Ankita Riva.
