Ethnic wear brand Soch has appointed Deepak Mahnot as its chief marketing officer to lead activities including brand marketing. In his new role, Mahnot is tasked with establishing Soch as a leader in the Indian women’s ethnic wear market.
“I am excited to be joining Soch at such a crucial period, as the brand gears for the next phase of exponential growth,” said Deepak Mahnot in a press release. “Soch has built a fantastic legacy and is among the most loved brands, constantly evolving with the women in India today. I look forward to helping Soch take the next step forward.”
Mahnot will also be in charge of visual merchandising, PR, CRM, and customer experience initiatives at the brand. Mahnot was previously marketing director at Vision Express India Operations and has also worked for businesses including Reliance Infocomm, The Mobile Store, and Babyshop among others.
“Deepak is a passionate marketer with diverse industry experience across various industries in retail, as well as a keen understanding of how to activate and drive the business with a strategic lens,” said Soch’s CEO and managing director Vinay Chatlani. “We welcome Deepak to the Soch family, he will play a critical role in helping to shape the next chapter of Soch.”
Soch has run for 17 years and currently counts over 160 brick-and-mortar stores in over 60 Indian cities. The brand plans to continue to expand its presence in the Indian ethnic wear market and sees Mahnot’s appointment as integral to achieving its growth goals.
