Snapdeal, a value e-commerce marketplace has strengthened its lifestyle portfolio by onboarding several brands across categories on its platform.
The company has onboarded brands like Jockey, John Players, Clovia, Red Tape, Aurelia, Carlton London, Sparx, Campus, Action among many others.
With the expansion of its portfolio, Snapdeal is targeting value-savvy consumers and aims to widen its reach outside metro cities across India.
Commenting on the portfolio expansion, Himanshu Chakrawarti, CEO of Snapdeal in a statement said, “Our vision is to establish Snapdeal as the go-to destination for a value-centric lifestyle. As Snapdeal enters a phase of substantial growth, this reflects our progressive stance in evolving into a holistic fashion destination for consumers who prioritize quality living at affordable prices.”

Snapdeal claims that around 86 percent of its orders originate from outside metro cities, with over 72 percent of buyers hailing from smaller cities and towns.
Founded in 2010, the New Delhi-based Snapdeal focuses on retailing products in the value segment of the market, seeing the category as far larger than the branded segment in Indian retail.
