Skechers launches exclusive jerseys for Mumbai Indians men’s cricket team

Footwear brand Skechers has unveiled its exclusive new jerseys for the Mumbai Indians men’s cricket team after previously launching its jerseys for the women’s team. The jerseys have launched as part of the Skechers branded Mumbai Indians match kits and were designed by Monisha Jaisingh.

“After the positive reception for our women’s reveal last month, we are thrilled to build on our partnership with Mumbai Indians with the men’s kit,” said Skechers Asia Private Limited’s CEO Rahul Vira in a press release. “These exclusive jerseys, designed by the talented Monisha Jaisingh, add an extra layer of excitement to the collaboration. The meticulous attention to detail and thoughtful selection of colours and motifs perfectly capture the team’s ethos and outstanding track record. We are sure that these jerseys are going to resonate deeply with the fans as well when the team sports them on the field. Collaborations like these not only reflect Skechers’ commitment to innovation, creativity and sportsmanship, but also to enhancing the fan experience.”
 
The collaboration is designed to bring together the worlds of fashion and cricket, according to Skechers. The Mumbai Indians franchise is owned by Reliance Industries and Skechers’ tie up with the team marks its debut in the world of Indian cricket.

“As our players don the iconic blue and gold jersey colours, they carry with them the hopes and dreams of our ‘MI Paltan’,” said a spokesperson for Mumbai Indians. “The jersey is a badge of honour, a symbol of pride for all who wear it, as they get to express their love for the team while carrying with them a piece of its illustrious legacy.”
