Singapore-based multi-brand sneaker retailer Limited Edt has opened its first brick-and-mortar store in India to retail a diverse range of international footwear brands in the country. The store is located inside Gurugram’s Ambience Mall and measures 1,500 square feet.
“The centre of the store is dominated by a circular POD which houses a ‘Vault’ of rare sneakers inside,” said Limited Edt’s founder Mandeep Chopra in a press release on January 12. “This exclusive section is reserved for our VIP members who we aim to give better access to exclusive releases. We also aim to showcase more exclusive products from all the main brands as well as introduce new to market footwear and streetwear brands to India.”
The store’s interior has a spaceship theme with a colour palette of cool black and grey tones. Features such as transparent LED displays, 3D effects, and interactive screens are designed to give shoppers a futuristic shopping experience while highlighting the store’s limited edition sneaker and apparel selection.
Mandeep Chopra launched Limited Edt in 2003 in Singapore and the business specialises in sneaker and streetwear culture. Limited Edt has been involved in a number of sneaker collaborations in the Asian region including a Monsoon Patrol project with Asics Sportstyle, a Urban Islander series with New Balance, and a three-part adidas Originals pack to celebrate the store’s Singaporean heritage.
“India holds immense potential, and with family ties, it was a natural choice for Limited Edt’s expansion,” said Chopra about the business’ entry into the Indian market. “This marks the beginning of our journey in India. While anticipating more stores in the future, we’re focusing on building a solid foundation, one step at a time.”
