Multi-brand fashion and lifestyle retailer Shoppers Stop has named Kavindra Mishra as its new CEO and managing director. The business has promoted the executive from his former role as CEO and executive director to lead its online and offline growth.
Mishra has been appointed as CEO and managing director of Shoppers Stop for a three year period beginning on April 29, 2024, subject to the approval of the company’s shareholders, ET Retail reported. The business’ board of directors has already approved the appointment.
Shoppers Stop’s board of directors also appointed Purvi Sheth as an (additional) non-executive independent director of the business for a term of five years and appointed Nirvik Singh as an (additional) non-independent director non-executive of the business. The business’ board of directors approved the appointment of Ashish Hemrajani as a non-executive independent director for a five year term on April 29.
Mishra has held numerous roles at Shoppers Stop. Before his most recent role as CEO and executive director, he held the role of chief commercial officer and CEO at Shoppers Stop’s Homestop arm. Mishra has extensive experience in fashion retail as he has previously worked for premium apparel brand House of Anita Dongre where he rose to the role of managing director and CEO, heading its subsidiary brands which comprise Globak Desi, Anita Dongre, and And.
