On January 3, multi-brand fashion and cultural showcase event Shelter launched a new spotlight on up and coming apparel and accessories labels along with a new schedule for creative workshops and installations at its temporary home in Mumbai’s Chuim Village in Bandra.
Designed to function as a cultural ecosystem and help up and coming brands to grow their customer base, Shelter’s ‘Chapter 2: Craft Interlude’ features a mixture of apparel, jewellery, accessories, beauty, lifestyle, and art, the event organisers announced in a press release. The brand showcase sits alongside a range of art installations, refreshments, and a library and reading nook.
Brands participating in Shelter’s new showcase, which launched on Friday, include Collected XX, Raw Shop, Kastoor, Loomgi, Open Form, Kichu, Aagghoo Kids Wear, PDFK home and & Lounge wear, Ecru, AOS, Homeland Eagles, Arsenic By Mehma Tibb, Strange Shrew, and Serenity Crystals. Rata, Unlocked Studio, Pia’s Faux, Ver, Aste Wellness, House of Urmi, Kaarhaus, Roma Narsinghani , Bodements, Ephihassika Aromtherapy, Candle Essencia, Dearist, Au natural Alchemy, Naushad Ali, and Something Sustainable can also be found at the updated fashion segment of the event.
The latest instalment of Shelter’s interactive workshops includes ‘Slow Crafts’ by Hobby on the Go with Bhakti Shah, ‘Mapping Memories: An Artisanal Fragrance Workshop‘ with scent brand Kastoor, a ‘Cacao Ceremony’ with Inner Alkemi, and a journalling session by MindSight among others.
“Shelter is a tribute to slow craft, mindfulness, self-care, and renewal,” announced the event organisers in a press release. “From sound meditations to sexual wellness workshops, this is where brands and experiences meet to help you start the year with balance and intention.”
