Ethnic wear brand Saundh has launched its first ever menswear collection in-store and online. Named ‘The Saundh Man’, the line features colourful occasion wear designed to offer opulent clothing at an accessible price point.
“Saundh’s foray into menswear was fostered by a large gap we identified in the market,” said Saundh’s founder and CEO Sarabjeet Saluja in a press release. “While there are a lot of legacy players in the male cultural wear segment, their extravagant price points result in inaccessibility for a larger section of consumers. The Saundh Man is built to be a game changer in this space, a collection that brings class leading quality and suave aesthetics at accessible price tags.”
The collection is priced from Rs 6,999 and has launched across 10 of Saundh’s key stores as well as its direct to customer e-commerce store. The Saundh Man offers traditional wear staples such as kurtas and bandis (jackets) and its maiden collection is made up of 12 pieces in hues of purple, ivory, pink, green, and yellow.
“The average Indian male has close to zero choices when it comes to affordable cultural apparel that looks aesthetic and feels grand,” said Saluja. “Moreover, this category glaringly lacks the luxury of choice that exists in women’s wear. These are the pain points that we address with The Saundh Man collection.”
Sarabjeet Saluja launched Saundh in 2019 as a premium womenswear brand. With 24 stores in 17 Indian cities and an online store, Saundh aims to celebrate the beauty of India’s textile and clothing traditions.
