Rupa & Company Ltd reported a 28 percent rise in net profit to Rs 24 crore ($3 million) for the fourth quarter ended March 31, as against Rs 19 crore in the year-ago quarter.
The company’s revenue for the quarter was down by 2 percent to Rs 399 crore, as against Rs 406 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
For the full financial year, the company witnessed a 30 percent increase year-on-year to Rs 70 crore with a revenue of Rs 1,211 crore.
Commenting on the results, Vikash Agarwal, director at Rupa & Co Ltd in a statement said, “Unaided by business landscape in maintaining the prices, your company notably registered a 7% & 17% volume growth in Q4 FY24 and FY24 respectively. Growth in volumes reflects our strong brand recognition, innovative product, and effective business strategy.”
“Looking ahead, we are confident in achieving new business milestones and providing innovative products to our various customer segments. Our customer-first approach will help us enhance our position as an industry leader and contribute to our sustainable business model,” he added.
During the year, the company took its exclusive brand outlet count to 29 stores and plans to expand its retail presence to reach a broader customer base by opening 150 stores over the next three years.
