Bridal and occasion wear designer Ridhi Mehra has launched ‘Zar-Bano’ as a slow fashion womenswear line which seeks to revive the heritage fabric of handwoven tissue and reimagine it with fusion inspired designs.
Ridhi Mehra’s new collection aims to breathe new life into the artistry of handwoven tissue to help preserve the art form and reimagine it for the modern Indian bride, the brand announced in a press release. The slow fashion line has launched in time for the winter wedding season on the brand’s direct to customer e-commerce store, priced from $860 upwards.

The collection features classic bridal lehengas, draped sarees, anarkalis, and more fusion style sets. Embellishments include Marodi and Patola khakha embroidery, sequins, and zari work and the collection’s colour palette includes shades of champagne, red, yellow, green, and dusky pink.
