Fine jewellery brand Reliance Jewels held a runway show with Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor to launch its West Bengal-inspired Diwali collection ‘Swarn Banga’.
“It was an honour to have the iconic Karisma Kapoor as the showstopper for our special festive collection preview,” announced the brand on Facebook. “She added glitz to the fashion show by donning a stunning piece from our upcoming festive collection.”
The runway show kicked off with a lamp lighting ceremony by Reliance Jewels’ CEO Sunil Nayak and was followed by models walking the ramp in traditional wear and sparkle by Reliance Jewels. The brand has previously launched seven collections inspired by different regions of India to appeal to shoppers across the country and celebrate India’s rich design heritage.
“Bengal holds a special place in India’s art and craft history,” said Nayak at the event, the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council reported on its website. “And this eighth collection in our series of jewellery inspired by different regions of India is a testament to our commitment to celebrating the rich culture and traditions of our nation. The Swarn Banga collection, with its timeless design, intricate workmanship, and grace, is sure to be adored by our customers for years to come.”
The ‘Swarn Banga’ collection is inspired by the terracotta temples of West Bengal and features an array of statement chokers and drop earrings. The collection features ample bridal options for the autumn wedding season as well as designs for Diwali parties.
