Sportswear brand Puma has opened a new store in Pune’s Amanora Mall to bolster its brick-and-mortar presence in Maharashtra. The German business is bullish on its India expansion and launched a total of 75 new stores in 2023.
“Step into style with Puma now open at Amanora Mall bringing you the latest styles in footwear, apparel, and accessories,” announced the shopping centre on Facebook. “Shop performance and sport-inspired pieces to elevate your everyday game.”
The new Puma store has a dedicated segment for running featuring clothing and accessories as well as a wall dedicated to sneakers and an athleisure segment. The label joins brands including Gap, Forever 21, Only, H&M, Skechers, and Centro among others in the shopping centre.
The brand opened stores in many new locations last calendar year and is bringing this spirit of expansion into 2024. “2023 was a year of unprecedented growth and resilience for Puma India,” wrote Puma India’s business development manager for South India Abhijith R on Linkedin. “We opened gates to 75 stores nationwide; our dedication to excellence propelled us to stay ahead of the game.”
Puma was established by Rudolf Dassler in 1948 and retails its products in over 120 countries worldwide. Puma first launched in the Indian market in 2006.
