Première Vision Paris has announced that from 2025 its Fall/Winter sessions will return to their usual time slot, mid-September. In 2022, the trade show had first moved its September edition forward to July. The Blossom show, dedicated to designer and luxury labels’ pre-collections, will be again held twice-yearly, in early summer and in December, while the future of the Fashion Rendez-vous event, not on the calendar this year, is being considered. The organisers’ stated goal is to stage the right event at the right time.

“For us, these two announcements are the first strong steps in a new strategy. They reflect our determination to support the markets through our willingness to change the rules, take up new challenges, and speed the transformation necessary to Première Vision, to the creation of our fashion division, and to the development of all our brands,” said Florence Rousson, managing director of the fashion division at show organiser GL Events. “We are convinced that in this way, by working hand in hand with the sector, Première Vision is returning to its original mission: to serve as a catalyst for growth for the entire industry,” she added.

The date change comes as no surprise. As FashionNetwork.com reported in July, several exhibitors at Première Vision Paris said they had been consulted about the show returning to its previous September dates. Some industry professionals thought that a July edition was too early in the season. At the same time, many Italian producers have stopped exhibiting at the Parisian show, opting for industry events in Italy, as a reaction against the growing presence of Turkish and Asian exhibitors.

PV Paris’s date change coincides with a new shareholding structure and the arrival of a new executive team. In February 2023, GL Events, which previously held a 49% stake in Première Vision, acquired a 100% stake. A year later, Rousson was named president of Première Vision’s executive committee, with the mission of redesigning the 11 trade events regularly staged by the organiser in Europe, Asia and North America. Further announcements may be forthcoming in the next few months.

July 2024 – Première Vision Paris

“If tomorrow the market will change, and the appropriate formula for a trade show will be to have 500 exhibitors in one hall, we’ll do it with 500 exhibitors in one hall, it doesn’t matter,” Rousson told FashionNetwork.com in July. It was a way of underlining that no stone would be left unturned to make sure the event remains relevant, for the market as well as for producers and buyers.

In 2025, Première Vision Paris will be held on February 11-13, with a second session on September 16-18. The latest edition was held on July 2-4 with a smaller number of exhibitors than usual, 930, attracting visitors from some 8,000 companies.
