Pitti Uomo 105 will showcase US designer Todd Snyder, as well as Italian designer Luca Magliano and Briton Steven Stokey-Daley. Snyder will present his latest collection at the 105th edition of the world’s leading menswear show, which will be held in Florence on January 9-12 2024. He is regarded as “one of the most influential US designers of his generation,” and will open Pitti Uomo with a runway show on January 9, kicking off the new menswear season for Fall/Winter 2024-25.
It will be a runway comeback for Snyder, who founded his eponymous menswear label in New York in 2011, and had been showing there until four years ago. “This project is also Pitti’s recognition of a long and brilliant career, characterized by [Snyder’s] ability to constantly renew himself in tune with the spirit of the time, remaining faithful to an idea of modern elegance welded to the values of sustainability,” said Raffaello Napoleone, CEO of show organiser Pitti Immagine.
For Snyder, showing at Pitti Uomo will be an opportunity to extend his label’s footprint, reaching out to international multibrand retailers. “It’s truly a dream come true,” said Snyder, a designer-businessman who regularly attends Pitti Uomo as buyer for his own stores, integrating their product range with items from other labels. “As much as I pride myself on being an American designer, I continue to draw so much inspiration from Italian style, and as a company we continue to partner with so many of Italy’s legendary textile producers,” added Snyder.
The Todd Snyder label has reported revenue of nearly $100 million, and operates 14 stores in the US. It regularly collaborates with leading US fashion names, like L.L. Bean, Champion, Converse, Timex and New Balance. Before launching his own label, Snyder worked at Ralph Lauren, The Gap and J.Crew.
His collections are a high-end reinterpretation of men’s wardrobe essentials, and also feature bespoke items. “Todd’s creations demonstrate how style and good taste can not only be made accessible, but also amusing,” said Napoleone.
