“In celebration of Péro’s 15th birthday and Hello Kitty’s 50th anniversary, come take a peek into our heart that is brimming with joy,” announced the brand on Facebook, sharing a video of the installation’s set up. Taking Péro’s signature maximalist and craft driven approach, the art piece layers textiles and appliqués in Hello Kitty’s classic hues of white and red to create an eclectic and engaging space.

Péro had originally debuted its Hello Kitty clothing collection at Lakmé Fashion Week last autumn. The men’s and women’s collection uses the motif of Hello Kitty and translates it into bold prints, tactile appliqués, and a fusion of traditional Indian textiles and craft techniques and playful Japanese street fashion.

Powered by Asian Paints, India Design 2025 runs at New Delhi’s NSIC Grounds in Okhla. The event takes place from February 20 to 23 and is designed to celebrate innovation in design, covering sectors including fashion, décor, interiors, and collectibles, according to the event’s website.

Aneeth Arora established Péro in 2008 and the name means ‘to wear’ in the Marwari language. The brand retails across India as well in a wide range of international locations through online and offline multi-brand stores including The Cross, Vestiaire Collective, and Pernia‘s Pop-Up Shop among others.
