British denim and casual wear brand Pepe Jeans London has partnered with GoKwik in India to expand its cash on delivery reach in the country. The move is designed to bring in more online customers by catering to Indian e-commerce shoppers’ preferences.
“Cash on delivery is a distinct preference for the majority of Indian consumers, and this preference brings with it the intricate issue of RTO,” said Pepe Jeans India’s CEO and managing director Manish Kapoor, India Retailing reported.
Through the new partnership, Pepe Jeans London offers cash on delivery to a wider range of postal codes. GoKwik has a network of over 100 million shoppers and Pepe Jeans London aims to tap into this to boost its online business.
“We are constantly committed to building solutions that help eCommerce brands grow at a high speed yet sustainable pace,” said GoKwik’s CEO and co-founder Chirag Taneja.
The partnership is also designed to reduce return expanses on e-commerce orders and reduce non-deliverable cash on delivery orders. GoKwik’s technology scans 200 parameters to calculate the customer’s probability of returning their order to streamline operations and save money. Due to the popularity of cash on delivery in India, Pepe Jeans London sees embracing it as vital for long-term expansion in the country.
