The House of Lakmé has joined forces with global trend forecasting agency Peclers Paris to launch a trend magazine for the 49th edition of its fashion week, this season in partnership with the Fashion Design Council of India.
The first ever Peclers trend magazine for Lakmé Fashion Week x FDCI launched with an exhibition in Mumbai which presents garments by brands including Péro, Bloni, Ka-Sha, Kanika Goyal, and Suket Dhir among others, Lakmé Fashion Week announced in a press release. Each garment in the exhibit represents elements of a trend highlighted in the magazine and the event runs for the duration of the fashion week, until March 17.
“Lakmé has always been a House of Firsts and has been one to create trendsetting milestones in India,” said Lakmé India’s vice president Sunanda Khaitan in a press release. “From being the first makeup brand that introduced the kajal to launching the first serum and sunscreen, Lakmé has been a trendsetter. With an unwavering focus set on the global pulse of trends, the ‘2024/25 Fashion x Beauty Lakmé Fashion Week Trend Edition Created by Peclers Paris’ delves into the depths of three distinct trends, that then trickle into sub themes in fashion, beauty, design and lifestyle. Against the backdrop of an ever-evolving fashion landscape, we are proud to present with our incredible partners at FDCI and Peclers Paris, a trend forecast that is inspired by multi-cultural exchanges, and India’s deep-rooted expression of fashion and the arts.”
The magazine was unveiled at the fashion week in Mumbai with a panel discussion at the Jio World Convention Centre. The talk was moderated by journalist and author Sujata Assomull and featured insights from the FDCI’s chairman Sunil Sethi, Hindustan Unilever’ executive director Harman Dhillon, and Peclers Paris’ CEO Anne Etienne-Reboul among others.
